Take 6 and Nnenna Freelon to SPREAD LOVE FOR CHRISTMAS at the Eisemann Center Image Eisemann Center Presents will host a stellar holiday show with Take 6 and the Nnenna Freelon Trio in Spread Love for Christmas on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 8:00 pm.

Taking the stage at the Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson, for the second time, Take 6 appeared with The Manhattan Transfer in The Summit in the 2015-2016 presenting season.

Take 6 (Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea and Khristian Dentley), heralded by Quincy Jones as the "baddest vocal cats on the planet!' is the quintessential a cappela group and model for vocal genius. Six virtuosic voices united in crystal clear harmony, against a backdrop of syncopated rhythms, innovative arrangements, and funky grooves that bubble into an intoxicating brew of gospel, jazz, R&B, and pop. With praise from such luminaries as Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Brian Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald and Whitney Houston, the multi-platinum selling sextet has toured across the globe, collaborated across genres, and is recognized as the pre-eminent a capella group in the world.

Nnenna Freelon is a world-renowned jazz singer, composer, producer, arranger, actress and a siz-time Grammy nominee. Nnenna Freelon has earned a well-deserved reputation as a compelling and captivating live performer. In 2014, Nnenna starred in the critically acclaimed show Georgia on My Mind: Celebrating the Music of Ray Charles at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. Nnenna is no stranger to the music of the master singer ? she toured with Ray Charles, as well as many other greatest jazz artists including Ellis Marsalis, Al Jarreau, George Benson, and others. Freelon has dedicated herself to educating young people, both musicians and non-musicians, and students of all ages. She toured the United States for four years as the National Spokesperson for Partners in Education.
