Jason Robert Brown to Join Betty Buckley for Master Classes in Fort Worth

JASON ROBERT BROWN is the ultimate multi-hyphenate - an equally skilled composer, lyricist, conductor, arranger, orchestrator, director and performer - best known for his dazzling scores to several of the most renowned musicals of his generation, including the recently nominated The Bridges of Madison County, The Last Five Years, his debut song cycle Songs for a New World, and the seminal Parade, for which he won the 1999 Tony Award for Best Score.

Jason's newest Broadway show, The Bridges of Madison County, has been nominated for the 2014 Tony Award for Best Original Score & Best Orchestrations, the 2014 Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Music, Outstanding Lyrics & Outstanding Orchestrations, the 2014 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Score and the 2014 Drama League Awards for Outstanding Production of a Broadway Musical.

Buckley, who was recently nominated for a Drama Desk Award as 2014 Best Featured Actress in a play for The Old Friends, began her workshop in early April which will culminate with a concert presentation by her students at the Modern on Tuesday, June 3 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. The concert will feature a section devoted to Jason Robert Brown's work. Tickets will be available for purchase soon.
