IMAGINOCEAN National Tour to Launch from Iowa in October

By:

Dorsel, Tank, Bubbles and the rest of the cast of the Drama Desk Award nominated show John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean will head out on their next leg of their critically acclaimed tour, with dates in over 40 U.S. cities and Sydney, Australia, beginning October 22. The announcement was made today by the show's creator and co-producer, Tony Award and Emmy Award nominated John Tartaglia.

The first stop on the tour is The Arts Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa (October 22). Other stops will include the Liberty (NJ) Science Center, Center for Creative Arts (St. Louis, MO), Warner Theater (Washington DC), and Winspear Opera House (Dallas TX).

The show will premiere at the Sydney Opera House in Australia in January 2013 for one month of performances.

John Tartaglia, creator and co-producer of the show said, "The reaction has been amazing. We had great audiences Off-Broadway but we had no idea that the show would be so loved by families and schools all across the country, let alone the amazing international response we have gotten. Seeing ImaginOcean play in Singapore and Guatemala was thrilling."

ImaginOcean is a one-of-a-kind, innovative glow-in-the-dark musical that opened in New York in March 2010 and began its U.S. tour in September 2011. The 50 minute production features extraordinary puppets, memorable original songs, and a heartwarming journey of discovery by three loveable fish named Tank, Bubbles, and Dorsel who take the audience on their singing, bubbling, jiving adventure, making friends along the way.

ImaginOcean is the brain child of Tartaglia, known to parents and kids for his Tony Award nominated portrayals of Rod/Princeton in the original Broadway cast of Avenue Q and his critically acclaimed Disney Channel show Johnny and the Sprites, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination. Tartaglia is not only the creator and writer of ImaginOcean, he is also the voice of five of its characters.

The music for John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean was composed by William Wade. The show is produced by Jellyfish Jive Productions.
