The smash hit musical revue production "Forever Plaid" will close the season for Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre (Theatre FMPAT) in their new Black Box performance space at the MCL Grand Theater December 8-23, 2011.

One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this deliciously funny revue centers on four young, eager male singers, singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision. The "Plaids" were killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert and are now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. Featuring toe-tapping hits from the 50's and 60's, sung in amazing four-part harmony, this family favorite is a perfect treat for the holiday season.

Songs include: "Three Coins in the Fountain"; "Undecided"; "Gotta Be This or That"; "Moments to Remember'; "Crazy 'Bout Ya, Baby"; "No, Not Much"; "Sixteen Tons"; "Chain Gang", Perfidia"; "Cry"; "Heart and Soul"; "Lady of Spain"; "Scotland the Brave"; "Shangri-La"; "Rags to Riches"; and "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing."

Theatre FMPAT first staged "Forever Plaid" in 2006 to sell-out crowds and critical acclaim. They decided to close their season in the new theatre space bringing back the original professional cast of Forever Plaid due to its audience popularity and success.

Starring original cast members Mark Mullino (Frankie), who also directs, Eric Domuret (Jinx), Doug Miller (Sparky) and Jacob Villarreal (Smudge), and featuring music direction by acclaimed pianist Vonda K. Bowling.

"This cast is comprised of some of the most talented actors in theatre throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area, today," said Scott Kirkham, Theatre FMPAT Executive Producer. "To restage this production and to be able to bring the cast back together is a real treat for our audiences!"

"Forever Plaid" is based on the book by Stuart Ross with music and lyrics by various artists. It is produced by special arrangement with Music Theatre International and Actors' Equity Association.

"Forever Plaid" runs December 8-23, 2011, The MCL Grand Black Box Theater, located at 100 North Charles Street, Lewisville, completing Theatre FMPAT's 19th Season of plays and musicals. Seats are available for $25 for adults and $22 for seniors, students, and children. Tickets will go fast, and are available now at HYPERLINK "http://www.fmpat.org" www.fmpat.org, or call 972-724-2147.
