Denton Community Theatre Will Present GOD OF CARNAGE

Denton Community Theatre (DCT) will present God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza. Directed by Kim Campbell, this Tony Award-winning play features veteran actors Connie Lane, Sean Frith, Dena Dunn, and Caleb Norris.

Following a playground altercation between two 11 year-old boys in Brooklyn's upscale Cobble Hill neighborhood, their parents agree to meet to discuss the situation civilly - "practice the art of co-existence" rather than "slaughter each other with insurance claims". It doesn't take long before their polite discussion spirals downhill into a savagely funny comedy of (bad) manners. Reza's play begs the question - How can we expect children to act like grown-ups if the adults are unable to control their own behavior? Strong adult language.

Performances are February 2, 3, 9, 10 at 7:30 pm February 4, 11 at 2:00 pm at DCT's POINTBank Black Box Theatre located at 318 E. Hickory, Denton. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased through The Campus Theatre Box Office Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. To purchase by phone, please call 940-382-1915.
