DTC Welcomes Foe Destroyer as THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW Musicians; Show Runs Now thru 10/19

Dallas Theater Center previously announced that Austin/Brooklyn band Foe Destroyer would return to the DTC stage in the upcoming production of The Rocky Horror Show. The self-described "nerd, grunge, trash, pop" group will take center stage at the Wyly Theatre from today, September 11 through October 19. "Foe Destroyer is a band of phenomenal musicians who will be the power and drive of The Rocky Horror Show," says Joel Ferrell, The Rocky Horror Show director and choreographer. "I can't think of a more perfect group to lead the cast and audience to Transylvanian ecstasy, climaxing in everyone's favorite dance -- 'The Time Warp.'"

The trio -- Daniel Garcia, Chris McQueen and Cade Sadler -- returns to the theatrical stage after a successful run in the rock-musical Fly By Night, both at DTC in 2013 and at Playwrights Horizons in New York earlier this year. McQueen previously appeared in DTC's production of The Who's Tommy in 2008, which was Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty's DTC debut. In The Rocky Horror Show, McQueen will be conductor and lead guitar; Garcia will play bass guitar; and Sadler will play drums.

"The Who's Tommy and Fly By Night were both amazing and vastly different, and The Rocky Horror Show represents for us yet another incredibly unique experience that most indie rock bands don't get to have," said McQueen. "Joel Ferrell has a fearless and fun vision for this show. I can't wait to run all over this stage and share the rock 'n' roll rhapsody with the cast and audience."

All performances of The Rocky Horror Show will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, located 2400 Flora Street where it runs Sept. 11 through Oct.19. The Rocky Horror Show opens with previews on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 7:30pm with a Pay-What-You-Can performance. Tickets to this performance will be available for purchase online at www.DallasTheaterCenter.org beginning Friday, Sept. 5. Press night will take place on Friday, Oct. 19 at 8:00pm.

DTC's Come Early sponsored by Wells Fargo will take place one hour before every performance. Patrons will have the opportunity to learn about the play prior to viewing the production. DTC's Dr. Pepper Snapple Stay Late will take place after each performance. Patrons will have the opportunity to engage with artists, learn about the production and share insights about the play in a lively discussion.
