Dallas Theater Center announced today that Broadway veteran Adam Pascal will headline Centerstage 2014 on Saturday, May 31. Chaired by Ann Hobson, with Underwriting Chair Pilar Henry and Honorary Chairs Kate and Dana Juett, Centerstage 2014 will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, which will be transformed for the evening.

Centerstage 2014 supports DTC's innovative artistic programming-from classics like A Raisin in the Sun to world premiere musicals like The Fortress of Solitude-as well as its inspiring, life-changing and award-winning education programs like Project Discovery.

"Centerstage provides critical funding so that DTC can fulfill its mission of both high quality theater and significant community outreach," said Chair Ann Hobson. "But the gala is also a really fun party! This year we are utilizing the innovative and imaginative production talent at DTC to create what promises to be a very visually exciting evening."

Adam Pascal's credits include originating the role of Roger in the Off-Broadway, Broadway, and London productions of Rent. He also originated the role of Radames in Disney's Aida by Elton John and Tim Rice. Adam played the final Emcee in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production of Cabaret. Other highlights include co-producing the Off-Broadway hit Fully Committed, co-starring with Jack Black in School of Rock, performing alongside Queen's Brian May, and starring as Freddy Trumper in Chess alongside Josh Groban and Idina Menzel. Adam has 3 solo recordings Model Prisoner, Civilian and Blinding Light, all available on iTunes.

"We are so excited to welcome Adam to DTC. He is such a fun entertainer and I know he will love performing in the Wyly Theatre to a crowd that is ready to rock!" said DTC Board Chair Rebecca Fletcher.

Centerstage 2014 will begin at 6:30pm with a cocktail hour followed by delicious dinner, a special performance from Pascal and an after-party of live music and dancing with Cuvée.
