PIXAR IN CONCERT, NUTCRACKER FOR KIDS & More Set for Pacific Symphony 2026-27 Season
Season will feature themed concerts including Pixar in Concert and The Nutcracker for Kids.
Pacific Symphony has announced its 2026–27 Family Musical Mornings series, presented by Farmers & Merchants Bank, with a lineup of concerts designed to introduce young audiences to orchestral music through storytelling and interactive performances.
The series will take place at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, with each program offering two performances at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on select Saturdays. Pre- and post-show activities will include hands-on games, coloring stations, and photo opportunities for families.
The season will open October 24 with A Symphony Spooktacular featuring Leopold the Leopard, led by puppeteer Victor Yerrid. The program will include Halloween-themed orchestral selections and encourage audiences to attend in costume.
On December 5, the series will present The Nutcracker for Kids, a narrated adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s ballet featuring dancers from the American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School, directed by Susan Brooker. The performance will follow Clara’s journey through the Land of Sweets and will include an optional VIP experience with breakfast and holiday activities.
Pixar in Concert will take place March 20, 2027, featuring music from films including Toy Story, The Incredibles, Up, Coco, and Finding Nemo, accompanied by projected visuals above the orchestra.
The season will conclude May 22, 2027, with The Little Prince: Opera for Kids, an adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s story presented as an interactive operatic experience for young audiences.
Subscriptions for all four concerts are now available, with single tickets set to go on sale August 16.
