"The piece was written as a rock album from the outset and set out from the start to tell the story through the music itself."-Andrew Lloyd Webber"Jesus Christ Superstar," releases in 1970 as a double album, was one of the first ever "Rock Operas," and featured, among others, Ian Gillan as Jesus, Murray Head as Judas, and Yvonne Elliman as Mary Magdalene. It set the stage for a feature film and countless stage and television productions to follow, but has remained beloved in its own right. This show is a celebration of that original 1970 double album, performed by the students of the of The Paul Green Rock Academy, and is sure to be loved all JCS fans...but especially those who old the original album as the one true JCS!About The Paul Green Rock AcademyThe Paul Green Rock Academy (PGRA) ais the newest, boutique music school from School of Rock Founder (and School of Rock movie inspiration) Paul Green. With only two locations and audition only admission, PGRA presents only professional level shows by the finest young musicians under the direction of the creator of performance based music education.
