New Show! You are cordially invited to the best day of someone else's life…but what if it's also the worst day of yours? Join Carlo as she attempts to make it through the night without drinking too much, talking too much, or trying to win back the bride.


Bryna Turner's bittersweet play, a laugh-out-loud comedy that nonetheless addresses some big issues, is for anyone who has ever attended a wedding...or had their heart broken.


Shows are at the theatre on Route 25, next to Brookfield Library, on April 25 thru May 10 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors 65 and older. They are available online at www.BrookfieldTheatre.org or at the box office. There will also be a free preview on Thursday, April 24 at 8 p.m. for area senior citizens.

Amanda Friedman is happy to return to Brookfield with friends old and new. She most recently appeared there as Snoopy in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown. Other recent productions include The Revolutionists (Olympe), Water by the Spoonful (Orangutan/Madeleine), BUG (Agnes White), Dogfight (Rose Fenny), and Disaster! (Sister Mary Downey).


Anya Nardone

Anya Nardone is thrilled to return to Brookfield having recently portrayed Lucienne Homenides de Histangua in "A Flea In Her Ear". Previous credits include Brewster Theater Company: Gregory/Ensemble (Romeo and Juliet). Wagner College: Mary Androgyny/Mom/Kellee (SCAB), Eurydice/Chorus (Antigone). Anya is currently planning on a Masters program in theatre arts.

Liam McGrath is overjoyed to return to Brookfield Theatre having made his debut as Romain Tournel in "A Flea In Her Ear"! A recent graduate of WCSU’s Performing Arts department, he is excited to be onstage once more for the great people of Connecticut. Abi Heydenburg

Abi Heydenburg is excited to return to Brookfield Theatre having recently played Pluck in "Shakespeare In Hollywood". She has performed at many area theatres, most recently with Sherman Players. During the pandemic, Abi played Helena in an outdoor production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream! From a very young age Abi has loved the stage (heehee that rhymed). Her first experience with the Bard (outside of English class) was at FineLine Theatre Arts with Leland Williams. Abi played Margaret in the 2020 production of MUCH ADO directed by Robin Frome (JCC in Sherman). Past plays with Jane Farnol include THE PHILADELPHIA STORY and THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE (NM Theatreworks). Recently Abi earned her MPH at the University of Vermont and is going wherever the wind takes her!

Andrés Idrovo Castillo most recently portrayed Don Carlos Homenides de Histangua in Brookfield's production of "A Flea In Her ear". A graduate of NVCC's theatre program, he looks forward to serving up a memorable Victor.

Bryna Turner

playwright
Bryna Turner is a Brooklyn-based playwright originally from Northern California. Their play At the Wedding had its world premiere in 2022 at LCT3 at Lincoln Center Theater. It received the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation’s Theatre Visions Award, was a NY Times Critic’s Pick, and was featured in the NYT Best of 2022 “Unforgettable Theatrical Moments” category. The play was developed in part by TheatreSquared in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Their play Bull in a China Shop also premiered at LCT3 at Lincoln Center Theater before going on to be produced and presented around the world. Notable productions include: About Face; Aurora; Diversionary Theatre; and a staged reading at the National Theatre in London directed by Phyllida Lloyd, starring Fiona Shaw and Jade Anouka. Other plays include Phases of the Moon and How to Separate Your Soul from Your Body (in ten easy steps!). Bryna is an alum of Clubbed Thumb’s Early Career Writers Group, WP Theater’s 2018-2020 Lab; a MacDowell fellow; and the recipient of Lincoln Center’s Emerging Artist Award in Theatre. They have taught in the MFA Playwriting Program at Rutgers University and are currently under commission from Lincoln Center Theater. Rae Janeil

director
Rae Janeil is excited to once again direct at Brookfield Theatre. She previously directed August Wilson's "How I Learned What I Learned", "Blood at the Root", multiple one acts as well as her first musical, "Crowns". They have a long list of stage credits including at Brookfield as Levora Verona in "Disaster!", Mae in Andrew Lippa's "The Wild Party" and Sister Chantelle in "Bare: A Pop Opera". Other favorite performing credits include Squeak in "The Color Purple", Joanne in "Rent", and Jo in "The Legend of Georgia McBride".


Pippa Walton

Pippa Walton has a background in stage managing, production management, and general tomfoolery behind the scenes. She has stage managed several shows at Brookfield including "How I Learned What I Learned" with Rae, and most recently "The Spitfire Grill"
