The Performing Arts Department Theatre Program at Eastern Connecticut State University is proud to present Our Town! Written by Thornton Wilder and directed by Timothy Golebiewski, Our Town is a Pulitzer Prizing-winning drama told in three-acts. Set in the fictional town of Grovers Corners, New Hampshire, Our Town tells the story of a small town community through the everyday lives of its inhabitants. Wilder uses this small town setting as a lens through which to explore universal themes: life, love, death, time, memory and community. Grovers Corner is just like any other rural American town you may know; everyone knows each other and time moves quickly as day-to-day life continues on for them all. Our Town is a showcase of the truths and trials we face throughout the course of our lives and is a very real and relatable depiction of what it mean to be alive. Our Town will be presented in the Fine Arts Instructional Centers Proscenium Theater from November 19 to November 24, 2019: Tuesday, November 19, Thursday, November 21, Friday November 22 and Saturday, November 23 at 7:30 P.M.; Wednesday, November 20 at 5:30 P.M.; and Sunday, November 24 at 4:30 P.M.
