In collaboration with Charter Oak Cultural Center and the Jewish Plays Project, Playhouse on Park hosts the Hartford Jewish Playwriting Contest. The Hartford Community Readers Panel has chosen three finalists: Flatbush Lysistrata by Lila Rachel Becker, Havurah by Margot Connolly, and Shura: The Mission of Identifying Life by Roee Joseph. Audiences will hear an excerpt reading from each of the three plays and then vote for the play they would like to see advance to the finals in New York. A dessert reception begins at 6 pm followed by the reading at 7 pm.
