Westport Country Playhouse to Pay Tribute to Bernadette Peters, 9/19

Westport Country Playhouse's 2011 Gala will take place on September 19th at 6:00 PM and will feature a special tribute to Bernadette Peters, for her dedication and servIce To the American Musical Theater.

Throughout her illustrious career, the Tony Award-winning actress has dazzled audiences and critics with her performances on stage, in television and films, on recordings and in concert. We are honored to have her returning to The Playhouse.

On September 19, all the stars will align for a gala evening at The Playhouse.

Enjoy a cocktail welcome, a star studded performance, and a "30s supper club" at Dressing Room Restaurant OR jump and jive to 30s Jazz at our soiree, depending on ticket level. In addition, there will be silent and live auctions of unique and one-of-a-kind items.

Throughout the evening we will celebrate out rich tradition of musicals, performed by Broadway's brightest talents. Illustrious Playhouse Alumni plan on joining the audience including: Past Artistic Director JoAnne Woodward, past honoree Stephen Schwartz, and artists Lucie Arnaz, Sheldon Harnick, Tom Jones, Laurence Luckinbill, James Naughton, Christopher Plummer and Jane Powell.
