Theatreworks Presents JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, 7/15 - 17

Tickets are now on sale for TheatreWorks Kids' production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which will be presented on Friday, July 15 at 7:00pm, Saturday July 16 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm and Sunday July 17 at 2:00pm at 5 Brookside Avenue, New Milford, CT.

The TW Kids program, specially designed for grade school kids, focuses on the craft of acting, along with lessons throughout the process of mounting a production, vocal skills and basic choreography. This program inspires creativity, confidence and a sense of community through the exploration and practice of theatre skills. The TW Kids after-school and summer programs have helped bring the joy of theatre to many children and given each and every one of them a chance to learn and grow.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a family-friendly musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and the lyrics are by Tim Rice. This is the same team who wrote Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita and most recently The Wizard of Oz. Joseph... is a story based on a story in the Hebrew Bible's Book of Genesis called "the coat of many colors." This was the first Lloyd Webber and Rice musical to be performed publicly. The show has very little spoken dialogue; it is almost completely sung. Its inspiring storyline, universal themes and catchy music have resulted in numerous productions throughout the world.
