The Windham Theatre Guild Announces 2012-2013 Season- Including THE WIZARD OF OZ and THE 39 STEPS

 As the Windham Theatre Guild (WTG) celebrates 10 years at the Burton Leavitt Theatre, we have made some changes to this year's schedule. Our Main Stage Season of six shows continues, but all non-musical productions have a new two-weekend schedule. This new schedule allows us to add two SpecialStage Events to our line-up this year. As always, you can save money by purchasing a subscription now. You can get just the Main Stage Season of six shows, you can add the SpecialStage Events and see all eight shows or you can purchase a flex pass and see any four of the eight shows. The WTG presents another comedy by Norm Foster, the Canadian Neil Simon. Six different scenes all feature a bed as their primary focus. A shock radio jock pays a couple to make love on the air. A woman visits a dying man she feels she hurt years ago. Two men rob a house and discover a shocking secret. An aging rock star is confronted by a groupie. An accident-prone stripper meets with her no-nonsense boss. A woman leaving her husband lectures the movers on the proper way to treat a lady.

Always...Patsy Cline is based on the true story of Patsy Cline's friendship with Houston housewife Louise Seger. The pen-pal relationship provides much of the plot of the show. The play focuses on the fateful evening at Houston's Esquire Ballroom when Seger hears of Cline's death in a plane crash. Seger supplies a narrative while Cline floats in and out of the set singing tunes that made her famous--"Anytime", "Walkin' After Midnight", "She's Got You", "Sweet Dreams", and "Crazy"--to name a few. It offers fans who remember Cline while she was alive a chance to look back, while giving new fans an idea of what seeing her was like and what she meant to her original fans.

In WWII Joe Keller and Steve Deever ran a machine shop that made airplane parts for the army.
