The Wilton Playshop Announces Upcoming Shows And Events

"The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds"
Opens January 22, 2010

This Pulitzer Prize winning drama by Paul Zindel will open the 2010
New Year at the Wilton Playshop. Directed by NYC actor, director and playwright Jackob G. Hofmann, the play chronicles the relationship between mother and daughters. It was adapted into a film directed by Paul Newman starring his wife JoAnne Woodward and daughter Nell. Woodward won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role.

The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds will have performances, Friday, January 22 and Saturday, January 23 at 8:00 pm, on Sunday, January 24, at 2:00 pm, and Thursday, January 28, Friday, January 29, and Saturday, January 30, at 8:00 pm.

Special "Jazz Valentine" Evening February 13th

Ridgefield's John Cutrone and Jazz Greats Bucky Pizzarelli, and Joe Bruno Debut New Album

The Wilton Playshop will be the setting for the premier of fourxfour, the newest album, by Jazz greats Bucky Pizzarelli, John Cutrone, Jerry Bruno and the late Carmen Leggio. The trio will perform their signature cool jazz sounds at a special one-night only show on February 13th at 8 pm. The show will be followed by a reception and a Q and A with these celebrated jazz musicians.

Spring Drama Workshop Offered

Mary Jo Duffy Productions
Acting and Scene Study Workshop

The Wilton Playshop is pleased to sponsor a special acting and scene study workshop for 6th - 8th graders. The after school program will run from January 27th through April 7th.

Ms. Duffy has directed countless musical productions and operas for children at various elementary and middle schools in Connecticut. She teaches private voice lessons at the Music Theatre of Connecticut in Westport, and at the Fraser-Woods School in Newtown, CT. Ms. Duffy runs a theatre workshop during the school year in Newtown for children beginning at age five and on through High School.
