Santa's Sleigh Stops at Jorgensen- Santa has a sleigh full of treats in store for everyone this season as Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts in Storrs opens its doors to a flurry of holiday delights.

On Tuesday, December 1, The Lee Duo gives a glistening performance of works by Beethoven, Britten and Rachmaninoff. The chamber performance by cellist Kangho Lee and pianist MinYoung Lee is preceded by a concert talk at 6:45.

"Jingle Jam," a festive gathering of UConn a cappella ensembles and the sensational Boston group, Five O'Clock Shadow, add sparkle to the season on December 4 at

7:30 p.m. They mix holiday favorites with up-beat, seasonal pop fare, guaranteed to chase away the winter chill.

The Jolly Old Elf himself makes an appearance at the Boston Pops Winter Gala on Saturday, December 5 at 8 p.m., sponsored by Fidelity Investments. Join in the good cheer as Keith Lockhart leads the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra through modern holiday classics and timeless carols.

Then on Sunday, December 13, at 1 and 4 p.m., crouching Cossacks, waltzing flowers, swirling snowflakes and sugarplum fairies bring the magic of The Nutcracker to the Jorgensen stage. Dozens of local children complement Connecticut Ballet's professional company of dancers in this exciting co-production that brings to life the towering tree, the toys and the twinkle of lights and love.
