The Hartt School Presents a Double Bass Master Class with Tom Van Dyck

The Hartt School Presents ECCO (East Coast Chamber Orchestra)

The Hartt School presents ECCO, the East Coast Chamber Orchestra, the third concert of the 2011-2012 Richard P. The Hartt School Presents Thomas Pasatieri’s The Hotel Casablanca

The Hartt School presents the regional premiere of Thomas Pasatieri’s The Hotel Casablanca Thursday, February 2, through Saturday, February 4, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, February 5, at 3:00 PM, in Millard Auditorium, University of Hartford200 Bloomfield Avenue. The Vocal Studies Division is honored to welcome renowned composer Thomas Pasatieri, one of America’s most respected and performed vocal and opera composers, as well as one of Hollywood’s most successful film orchestrators.  He will be in residence during Hartt Opera Theatre’s first two performances of his opera, The Hotel Casablanca.  Mr. Pasatieri will hold master classes and coach students in preparation for these performances.  The Hotel Casablanca is a comic tale of love, guns, and mistaken identity deep in the heart of 1940s Texas.  One critic recently wrote that Casablanca has just enough opera majesty to satiate grand opera adherents and enough silliness to keep the audiences entertained.  The New England premiere is conducted by Doris Lang Kosloff and directed by Ron Luchsinger.  Admission is $20 for seniors, students, and groups.  Please call the University Box Office at 860.768.4228 or 800.274.8587or visit www.hartford.edu/hartt for more information
