Paul Zindel's Pulitzer Prize winning drama The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds, will open the 2010 New Year at the Wilton Playshop on Friday, January 22.

Directed by NYC actor, director and playwright Jakob Hoffmann, the play chronicles the relationship between mother and daughters. It was adapted into a film directed by Paul Newman starring his wife JoAnne Woodward and daughter Nell. Woodward won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1973 for the role.

The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds will have performances, Friday, January 22 and Saturday, January 23 at 8:00 pm, on Sunday, January 24, at 2:00 pm, and Thursday, January 28, Friday, January 29, and Saturday, January 30, at 8:00 pm.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for students and seniors.
