THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME Will be Broadcast at the Ridgefield Playhouse ImageCaptured live from the National Theatre in London, see The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in a critically acclaimed production by the director of Angels in America and War Horse -- in HD on the big screen at The Ridgefield Playhouse on June 15.

Captured live from the National Theatre in London, this critically acclaimed production directed by Marianne Elliot (Angels in America, War Horse) has astonished audiences around the world and has received seven Olivier and five Tony Awards. See The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in HD on the big screen at The Ridgefield Playhouse Friday, June 15th at 7pm part of the Benchmark Classical Series with support from The Ridgefield Press and Whistle Stop Bakery, underwritten by Lori and John Berisford, Jeanne Cook, Liz and Steven Goldstone, & Sabina and Walter Slavin. The Sydney Morning Herald states, "Curious Incident is an inspired achievement, the stage equivalent of solving a Rubik's Cube in record time. A big-hearted show that tackles the puzzle of the human mind with uncanny deftness, this is a world-class theatre event, not to be missed."

Christopher, fifteen years old, stands beside Mrs. Shears' dead dog. It has been speared with a garden fork, it is seven minutes after midnight and Christopher is under suspicion. He records each fact in the book he is writing to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington. He has an extraordinary brain, exceptional at maths while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched and he distrusts strangers. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.

The Ridgefield Playhouse offers free tickets to shows in The National Theatre Live series to students 18 and younger as a way for parents to introduce their children to the arts. Free tickets to students 18 and younger are also offered for all Benchmark Senior Living at Ridgefield Crossings Live in HD screenings of The Bolshoi Ballet and The Met Opera.

For tickets ($15-$25), call or visit the box office, 203-438-5795 or go online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a non-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
