Playwrights On Park Reading Series Presents THE ANGEL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY By Alec Silberblatt

Join Playhouse on Park in designating the Greater Hartford area as a premiere destination for the cultivation of innovative theatrical work! The Playwrights on Park Reading Series was created for this very purpose, and our next evening in this exciting series is Tuesday, June 26 at 7:30pm with Alec Silberblatt's The Angel of Allegheny County.

Alec Silberblatt was born and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. His plays include: The Angel of Allegheny County, A Body in the Allegheny Valley, Ashes in the Allegheny, The Patriots, Room for One, and Four Green Walls. His work has been produced/developed by: New Wave Theater Company, Middle Voice Theater Company, Greenhouse Theater Company, Rising Phoenix Rep, and the NYU Steinhardt School. His short films have shown at Independent Film Festival Boston (Dog Out Window), The Peace on Earth Festival in Chicago (The Officers), and New York Short Tuesdays (Minimum Wage). Member: Middle Voice Theater Company.

The Angel of Allegheny County is a twisted comedy about four women grappling with grief, friendship, and an open secret. In a small borough of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, a community swirls with rumors about Donna, a nurse who may or may not have taken part in a sinister act many years ago. Her questionable past leads women in town to solicit her help.

The mission of Playwrights on Park is to produce original plays and musicals written by emerging playwrights. Each reading features a new work, where audience members participate in a talk back session with the playwright, director and cast members. Audience members are also provided with response cards at the end of each reading. Additionally, there is a talkback segment featuring the Playwright and cast after each reading.

All tickets are $10 each, general admission. For tickets, please call our box office at 860-523-5900 x10, or visit www.playhouseonpark.org. Playhouse on Park is located at 244 Park Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06119.
