Palace Theater Kid Friendly Tour in August Image

In an unique collaboration a special kid friendly tour of the Palace Theater is being offered on Wednesday August 15 at 11:00 am. The hour-long tour adapted specifically for children ages 5 and older will include magic performed by "CJ the Sorcerer" aka Cyril May the Recycling Coordinator for the City of Waterbury, as well as an opportunity to see the behind the scenes magic at the majestic venue and a chance for a "walk on" across the historic stage. Tickets are $5.00 per person and are limited. They may be purchased in advance online at www.palacetheaterct.org, by phone at 203-346-2000, or in person at the Box Office, 100 East Main St.

This tour is a chance to learn some of the backstage theater magic that happens as well as the secret to the world famous escape trick performed by Harry Houdini, as well as the magic that happens when we recycle. The theater incorporated a recycling program last year as an alternative way of disposing of the thousands of empty cans and bottles at the venue each year. The project was initiated by Waterbury Arts Magnet School student and Junior Honor Society member Viola Flowers, whose father is Dave Flowers, the Chief production officer of the theater. The money realized by the recycling effort has allowed the WAMS Junior Honor Society to donate money to a variety of causes.

To celebrate this "magical" collaboration tour guests and the public may also purchase tickets to the upcoming presentation of "The Illusionists Live from Broadway" and receive a 10% discount. This offer is valid August 15 - 17 for phone or in person sales only.

The Illusionists Live from Broadway" will be presented October 13-14 Saturday, October 13 at 5 & 8pm and Sunday October 14 at 1pm

Direct from Broadway, this is the world's best selling magic show.

This mind blowing spectacular showcases the jaw dropping talents of five of the most incredible Illusionists on earth. THE ILLUSIONISTS - LIVE FROM BROADWAY has shattered box office records across the globe and dazzles audiences of all ages with a powerful mix of the most outrageous and astonishing acts ever to be seen on stage. This non-stop show is packed with thrilling and sophisticated magic of unprecedented proportions
