The Opera House Players will present THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, the solve-it-yourself musical, from tonight, September 7 through 23, 2012, at the Broad Brook Opera House, 107 Main Street, Broad Brook, CT. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.operahouseplayers.org or by calling the box office at 860-292-6068. The show will be directed by John Pike, with musical direction by Melanie Guerin.

This wildly warm-hearted theatrical experience kicks off when a hilariously loony Victorian musical troupe "puts on" its flamboyant rendition of an unfinished Dickens mystery. The giddy playfulness of this play-within-a-play draws the audience toward one of DROOD'S most talked-about features, which allows the audience to vote on the solution as prelude to the most unusual and hilarious finale!

The Opera House Players is a non-profit community theatre, presenting four major musicals each season. The remainder of the 2012-2013 season will include YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN; HAIRSPRAY, and NEXT TO NORMAL. Season ticket packages are available by calling the box office at 860-292-6068. The historic Broad Brook Opera House is an intimate venue with seating for 170.
