The Northeast Children's Theatre Company (NCTC), a professional not-for-profit theatre company for young audiences & families, concludes another critically-acclaimed season in residence at the Fairfield Theatre Company with the world premiere production of its brand-new musical "Jack And The Giant," an original and uniquely innovative piece for the stage loosely based on the universally adored fairy tale of the same name. The production is directed by Andrew Barbato and features music, lyrics, and book by Andrew Barbato with additional music by Douglas Makuta.

Jack is a curious young boy who lives on a small island at the end of the earth. Although he is alone with no home to call his own, he has always dreamed of what might exist beyond his village. Then, when a mysterious girl in a sailboat washes ashore in a storm one night, she offers Jack the opportunity to find out for himself. With the help of a lonely old cartographer and uptight princess named Amelia, this vagabond crew embarks on a hero's quest to retrieve a magical golden harp from a dangerous giant but soon discover that not everything is as it seems.

"Jack And The Giant" runs as a limited two-week engagement from Saturday, March 22 through Sunday, March 31 at Fairfield Theatre Company's StageOne theater in downtown Fairfield. Tickets can be purchased by calling 203-259-1036 or visiting www.NCTCompany.org. This show is best for families of all ages and strongly recommend for ages 4+.
