Calling all fans of Bob Dylan! It's Ladies Choice when the Small Town Concert Series presents female performers from the shoreline area, in a musical tribute to the songs of Bob Dylan."Shoreline Women Digging Bob Dylan" will be held at The Ivoryton Playhouse in Ivoryton on Saturday, January 23, at 7:00 PM (doors at 6:30). In 2007, Shoreline Women Digging Dylan played a sold out performance at the Chester Meeting House.

Why Dylan? "Bob Dylan is probably the best known and loved American songwriter of the 20th century - and he's still alive, and meaningful. He has changed so much with his times that he reflects them like few others can. . . Dylan holds the mirror, and we can only, in turn, sing praise by singing his songs. The variety of songs matches the variety of performers we're using this time," Lauren Agnelli & Matthew Male of Small Town Concert Series explain.

Featured performers include Lauren Agnelli, Margie Warner, Rose Bengston, Joell Jacob, Emily Lisker and violinist Dana Takaki with the Small Town Concert Series Big House Band. Featured songs include a tour de force of Dylan's repertoire, from "It Ain't Me, Babe," and "Like a Rolling Stone" to
"Beyond Here Lies Nothing." Dylan's last album, Christmas in the Heart, surprisingly became a bestselling holiday album in 2009, benefiting numerous charities with the proceeds.

Why just women digging Dylan? "Since 2007, people have been begging us to reprise this show. So now we hope to accommodate the many fans who requested it again. And now, at the fabulous Ivoryton playhouse, we're using a few different performers," says Lauren with a smile."And isn't the title kind of catchy? Anyway, we like to do things a little differently." Come and witness for yourself at the Ivoryton Playhouse on Saturday, January 23rd- doors at 6:30, show at 7 PM.
