Fairfield Center Stage continues its inaugural season with the award-winning musical DREAMGIRLS, running six performances only, March 1-9. All performances will take place at the theater at Black Rock Church, 3685 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield CT 06824. Fairfield Center Stage, under the leadership of Executive Producer Eli Newsom and Artistic Director Christy McIntosh-Newsom, has dedicated its inaugural season to putting Fairfield "center stage" by highlighting several of Fairfield's prominent venues with environmental theater.

First a smash Broadway musical and recently an award-winning motion picture, DREAMGIRLS captures the spirit and hope of Motown when a girl group from Chicago makes it big. In a business controlled by men, the female trio fights for recognition, fellowship and love as superstardom challenges their musical and cultural identity. A rich, glowing spectacle about the price of show-biz success, DREAMGIRLS sizzles with sparkling dance and R&B soul. Based on the story of Diana Ross' rise to fame, the show has made stars of Tony Award winner Jennifer Holliday and Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson. The popular musical features the hit songs "Dreamgirls," "And I am Telling You I'm Not Going" and "One Night Only".

The cast of 25 local performers includes Alana Cauthen* as Effie White, Rachelle Legrand as Deena Jones, Jessica Paige as Lorrell Robinson, Khallid Graham as Curtis Taylor, Jr., Everton Ricketts as James Thunder Early, Garth West as CC White, Renee Sutherland as Michelle Morris, Jeramie Gladman as Marty, Steffon Sampson as Wayne, and Robert Alexander as Tiny Joe Dixon. The ensemble includes Jaden Bonfietti, Matt Casey, Monica Castillo, Tailor Coward, Sean Davis, Bobby Henry, Lindsay Johnson, Elijah Manning, AJ Montgomery, Avery Owens, Zully Ramos, Sana "Prince" Sarr, Hailey Stevenson, and Kaylin Weller.

Tickets are $35 for Prime Orchestra Center, $25 for Orchestra, and $15 for Student front row. To order tickets, visit www.fairfieldcenterstage.org

FCS's 2018/19 season kicked off with the free event on Fairfield Commons outside of Fairfield Museum, THE MUSIC MAN IN CONCERT in June, and then followed with HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH at Trevi Lounge and A CHRISTMAS CAROL EXPERIENCE at Burr Mansion. The season will conclude with THE SECRET GARDEN at Pequot Library.
