Downtown Cabaret Theatre Will Make Major Announcement

Connecticut's historic Downtown Cabaret Theatre has a major announcement tonight. The Bridgeport staple, which has shone bright for almost four decades, has been generating buzz over the past week with cryptic social media posts.Their message, however, is clear: they will reveal big news on Friday, February 1 at 7:30 PM via their Facebook LIVE!
The theatre will livestream an exciting announcement ahead of the first performance of 1984. In-person audience members will certainly be in for an extra special treat. Running through February 17, George Orwell's dystopian drama is directed by Katherine Ray and stars a talented cast of local actors.
Whether through their Main Stage, Children's Theatre or Concert series, the cabaret never fails to bring in top notch talent. Plus, no matter what the show, patrons love the cabaret's "Bring Your Own Picnic" atmosphere. Amongst its glittering history, boasts: Kelli O'Hara receiving her Equity card in a production of Phantom at the DCT.
