CONNetic Dance's NUTCRACKER SUITE AND SPICY Returns to Aetna Theater
CONNetic Dance's Nutcracker Suite and Spicy, the fun-for-all-ages update of the holiday classic, is back at the Wadsworth Atheneum this December.
A quirky, innovative production created and choreographed by CONNetic Dance (www.conneticdance.com) company director Carolyn Paine (www.carolynpaine.com), The Nutcracker Suite and Spicy breaks the traditional mold on a timeless story, and breathes into it new life. Carolyn Paine's credits as a dancer, actor, and choreographer include ABC New Year's Rockin' Eve, Italian Vogue, national commercials, and numerous off-broadway productions. Her trademark sense of humor adds extra spice to the production's creative choreography which features everything from tap dancing soldiers, to acrobatic dancers gliding across giant snowballs, to a sassy hip hop Sugar Rum Cherry.
Back for its 7th season, Nutcracker Suite and Spicy has become a true Hartford holiday tradition, filled with diversity and updates that allow the classic tale to better reflect a contemporary, urban holiday. Performances will be held as part of the Wadsworth's Festival of Trees and Traditions. Group ticket packages are available as well as a VIP ticket option which includes admittance to the opening night party following the Friday night show which is hosted at Peppercorn's Grill featuring complimentary speciality cocktails by Hartford Flavor Company.

Performances will be held December 9-11th in the Aetna Theater at the Wadsworth Atheneum.

Sunday, December 11 at 2pm *Ugly Sweater matinee featuring live music opening and special visit by Santa!
