Fresh, funny and smart - it's back. Audiences will laugh even harder this year when TheaterWorks introduces ANOTHER new story written by Jacques Lamarre (think It's a Wonderful Life.) Conceived and directed by Producing Artistic Director Rob Ruggiero, Hartford's newest holiday tradition is celebrating it's 5th year with another new story and a new bartender. This year Tom Bloom will be pouring drinks. Christmas on the Rocks features seven playwrights each adding their own spin to the canon of holiday traditions past. Rob said "Hartford loves Christmas on the Rocks. This year we've added another new story. Jenn and Matt are coming back and I'm excited to introduce Tom Bloom, a terrific actor, as the bartender. TheaterWorks loves being a part of Hartford's holiday tradition. " It's Christmas Eve in a rundown local bar. Expecting a silent night, the bartender finds himself mixing drinks for a parade of surprising guests - children from your favorite Christmas specials and movies - now all grown up.
