CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF Comes to Ridgefield in HD, 3/18 ImageAn encore presentation of The National Theatre of London production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will be shown in HD at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, March 18th.

The National Theatre of London's recent staging of the Tennessee Williams 20th century masterpiece, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, will be broadcast in HD in an encore presentation at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, March 18th at 7pm as part of the Benchmark Senior Living at Ridgefield Crossings Live in HD & Classical Series. The production, which is directed by Benedict Andrews and stars Sienna Miller alongside, Jack O'Connell and Colm Meaney, has been lauded as "a brilliant, lacerating account of the play...unforgettable" by The Independent.

On a steamy night in Mississippi, a Southern family gathers at their cotton plantation to celebrate Big Daddy's birthday. The scorching heat is almost as oppressive as the lies they tell. Brick and Maggie dance round the secrets and sexual tensions that threaten to destroy their marriage. With the future of the family at stake, which version of the truth is real - and which will win out?

The Ridgefield Playhouse offers free tickets to shows in the National Theatre Live series to students 18 and younger as a way for parents to introduce their children to the arts. FREE tickets for students 18 and younger are also available for Benchmark Senior Living at Ridgefield Crossings Live in HD screenings of the Bolshoi Ballet and The Metropolitan Opera.

For tickets ($25, Members & Seniors $20, Students $15 - FREE tickets for students 18 and under), call or visit the box office, 203-438-5795 or go online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a non-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
