A MOST UNLIKELY TRIO! Cabaret Fundraiser Held At Sherman Playhouse 5/29, 5/30

By:

The Sherman Playhouse is proud to present A MOST UNLIKELY TRIO!, an evening of three lovely ladies singing the melodies of some of the most beloved composers of our time. This cabaret fundraiser will be held at The Playhouse on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, at 8:00 p.m.

This evening of music follows the parallel lives of three women looking for love in the big city. The score follows loss, loneliness, lust, new found hope, new found love, cold feet, and ultimately, commitment ? each woman singing her story through a different genre of musical theater. Drawn from the works of an eclectic mix of composers including Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, and Rodgers and Hammerstein, the evening's appeal is broad, comic, and full of something for everyone who loves musical theater.

"This isn't just three ladies standing on the stage singing...it's a wonderful threesome crooning to some of your favorite melodies in character," said producer John Taylor. "It's not a concert, it's not a play, it's a melodious mixture of exciting cabaret and such a unique way to spend a fun evening out."

A MOST UNLIKELY TRIO! consists of three of the area's finest onstage performance artists: Beth Bonnabeau of New Milford, Missy Slaymaker-Hanlon of Brookfield, and Rachel Corn of Ridgefield. The featured performers are accompanied on piano by the accomplished Stefano Peña of Ardsley, NY.

A MOST UNLIKELY TRIO runs Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. Tickets for all shows are $20.00 for general admission. A percentage of the proceeds will go towards the restroom expansion project at The Sherman Playhouse. Reservations can be made online at WWW.SHERMANPLAYERS.ORG or by calling the box office at (860) 354-3622.

The Sherman Playhouse is a local theatre company located on 5 Route 39 North (at the intersection of Route 37 and 39) in Sherman, Conn.
