2016 Northwest Idol Finals Held This Saturday at the Warner

By:

On August 13 at 7:00 pm, the Torrington Parks and Recreation Department will present its Eleventh Northwest Idol Finals featuring the ten finalists on the Warner Theatre's main stage. Tickets are $10.

The ten finalists are Amanda Zontok, Vivian Jimenez-Rijo, Garysson LaPlante, Bobbi Jo Klug, and Jazmon LaTour from Torrington, Hali Soulier and Jomo Mayka from Burlington, Allison Dobkins from Watertown, Justin Normandin from Thomaston and CJ Barber from Barkhamsted.

At the finals all the contestants will perform with the "Opening Night Band." Contestants will sing one song each during the opening round. The top five contestants will move on to the second round that night to sing one final song. The judges will then select the top three finalists. Cash Prizes and Gift Certificates will be awarded to the top three winners.

Former American Idol Contest, Tim Urban will Co-Host the show for the second year in a row, alongside Casey McKenna, who has been hosting the show since its inception eleven years ago. Tim finished in 7th Place in Season 9 of American Idol. The judges for the finals will be Lynn Whittaker, Dan Ringuette, and Bill Benson. Come out and support the many talented singers in this year's Northwest Idol Competition.
