MadLab's Young Writers Short Play Festival 2025 at MadLab

MadLab's Young Writers Short Play Festival 2025, featuring 6 short plays written by a group of super talented central Ohio teens, opens July 10 and runs through July 20. This year's young playwrights (Asher Lee, Emma Dopler, Charlie Meigs, Brody Gingrey, Evelyn Coen and Lynnix Price) have given us a variety of short plays including hilarious comedies, a tension filled dramedy, and even a play with a musical number!

*A trio of time traveling teens on the run from the time police find themselves in the neon heavy, 16-bit world of 1985.

*An 800-year "young" genie promises to grant young Jess any 3 wishes he wants - with just a "few" exceptions.

*3 adult siblings quarrel over who gets their departed mother's wedding ring.

*A teen girl reluctantly enters an art competition with surprising results.

*A teen girl uses a class writing assignment to reexamine a failed relationship with a little help from above and below.

*A group of "seasoned citizens" plan to borrow the church van for a bucket list trip to Las Vegas.
