The seminal event in American history blazes to vivid life in this most unconventional of Broadway hits. Set in the summer of 1776, the nation is ready to declare independence—if only the Founding Fathers can agree to do it. 1776 follows John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania, and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia as they attempt to convince the members of the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the British monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence.

The cast includes Tim Clayton, Brad Barbin, Jonathan Collura, Dave Morgan, Ryan Brunce, Robert Cooperman, Niko Carter, Nick Baldasare, Gregory Patterson, Scott Douglas Wilson, Ben Hartwig, Ava Rogers, Nic Brunet, Mark Steinbacher, Brendan Bachert, Jacob Erney, William Macke, Dan Griscom, Eric Shonk, Daniel Rodriguez Hijo, Rusty Wummel, Krista Pojman, Deborah Brennan, Tristen Doan, and Lev Hund.
