The Cleveland Orchestra
Pietari Inkinen, conductor
Augustin Hadelich,violin
Tchaikovsky’s lushly romantic violin concerto is filled with soaring melodies and folk rhythms and showcases the composer’s lyric genius. As exciting and tuneful as his famous New World Symphony (if not more so), Dvorak’s Eighth Symphony revels in the sheer joy of being alive in a world of natural wonders.
This program’s Concert Preview lectures will be presented by James Wilding, Professor of Composition and Theory, The University of Akron
