Called “the fast rising star of conducting” Klaus Mäkelä returns to conduct a program highlighting the works of British conductors: Elgar’s much loved Cello Concerto, and Walton’s hugely sonic, outlandishly exuberant oratorio (featuring the celebrated baritone Thomas Hampson).
