The CSO Will Conclude 2012-13 Season With a FANTASTIQUE FINALE in May

Jean-Marie and the Columbus Symphony conclude the 2013-14 Masterworks season with the ultra-colorful, dream-like landscapes of Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique. Acclaimed violin soloist Vadim Gluzman will perform the haunting concerto by Alban Berg that quotes the lovely Bach chorale melody which opens the concert.

The program will begin with Bach's Es ist Genug ("It is Enough") from Cantata No. 60 and Ach arme Weld from Brahms' Three Motets, both featuring The Ohio State University Chorale, followed by Berg's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, and concluding with Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique.

The Columbus Symphony presents Fantastique Finale at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) on Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4, at 8pm daily. Tickets are $25-$65 and can be purchased at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E. State St.), all Ticketmaster outlets, and www.ticketmaster.com.
