TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE Auditions Held At Covedale Center 5/10, 5/11

Covedale Center for the Performing Arts will hold Auditions for TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE By Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom and based on the Book by Mitch Albom.

The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts will hold auditions for a deeply emotional drama with a generous dose of humor, TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE at the following dates and times:

Sunday May 10 7:00 - 10:00 pm
Monday May 11 7:00 - 10:00 pm

All auditions will be held at the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, 4990 Glenway Avenue in West Price Hill.

Cast consists of two men: Morrie and Mitch. Mitch approximately 35 years of age; Morrie approximately 70 years of age

Please note: Auditionees do not have to be these actual ages, just must be able to play and look the appropriate age range.

Auditionees should be prepared to read from the script (please get familiar with the book prior to the audition). Headshots and resumes are appreciated but not required. Show directed by Allen Kendall.

Rehearsals begin Monday, December 28, 2009.

Performance dates: January 21 - February 7, 2010. All roles are paid positions.

The Show: TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life. A touching, life-affirming production.
