THE KING Arrives At The State Theatre 1/10/2010

By:

Conceived 20 years ago to satisfy the throngs of Elvis fans, The Elvis Birthday Tribute features over two hours of live music featuring some of the world's best Elvis re-creators. The show will take place in the State Theatre on January 10th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

The Elvis Birthday Tribute recreates the memorable Elvis eras including his rockabilly beginnings, the military years, the movie years and his comeback, all the way up to his Las Vegas days. Serious Elvis followers, rock fans and lovers of live musical theater will be treated to 50 Elvis songs, with the tribute artists decked out in replicas of The King's flashy wardrobe.

The show will feature three Elvis re-creators.

Shawn Klush was named the "Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of 2007" by Elvis Presley Enterprises and "World's Greatest Elvis" by the BBB1 in London. Shawn brings the electrifying magic to the stage. Shawn is the closest thing to the King in concert.

Steve Kabakos is Canada's #1 Ultimate Tribute Artist. Steve has the moves, look and voice of the Elvis Presley.

Donny Edwards was ABC Television's "Blue Suede Elvis" as seen on the Next Best Thing. Donny earned third place in Elvis Presley Enterprises Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Concert.

They are joined by The Fabulous Ambassadors Show Band, vocal group Rivington Station and host D.J. Fontana, Elvis' original drummer, who peppers the evening with intimate Elvis anecdotes.
