Playhouse South, Inc., a Community theatre, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Bomar Jones as Artistic Director. This exciting partnership joins a flourishing community-based arts organization with an artist of vast experience and passion.

Alan Bomar Jones is a professional regional theatre actor and resident artist with the Human Race Theatre Company. He has appeared in over seventy professional theatrical shows, seven independent films and a few television commercials. His latest adventure is the kid-show TV pilot Jake's Safari, which is slated to start filming in the fall of 2010. He is most noteworthy for his portrayal of the fugitive "Robert Brent Black" in the nationally-syndicated show America's Most Wanted. When Alan is not on stage, he coaches actors of all ages, preparing them for auditions and performances. Alan brings over 35 years of theatre acting and directing experience to his new position, and he is very excited about being involved with Playhouse South.

As this partnership takes root and begins to grow, watch for exciting changes throughout the season! Opportunities in a number of areas will be provided, and participation by the community is welcome!
