LET IT BE to Bring the Music of The Beatles to Playhouse Square This Month

By:
Imagine the BEATLES reunion that never was...the concert we never got to see, with songs The Beatles had never before performed in front of an audience. LET IT BE is that concert.

Direct from London's West End and Broadway, the international hit show performs its first Playhouse Square concert Wed., Feb. 22 at 8 pm in the State Theatre.

LET IT BE showcases the music of the world's most successful rock'n'roll band from a meteoric rise with humble beginnings in Liverpool's Cavern Club, through the height of Beatlemania, to their later studio masterpieces.

The end of The Beatles era was never thought to be in sight when The Beatles played their last show on the roof of Apple Offices in 1969. Imagine what would have been if The Beatles continued their journey as we enter a time capsule and turn back to what would have been John Lennon's 40th Birthday - October 9, 1980.

For one night, the fab four come together again on stage after a decade apart, reliving songs from The Ed Sullivan Show to Abbey Road, with favorite hits including Hard Day's Night, Day Tripper, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Twist and Shout, Get Back, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Strawberry Fields, along with hits we never got to see performed live like Back in the USSR, Live and Let Die, Got to Get you into My Life, My Sweet Lord, Hey Jude, and many more.

The original production which established itself as one of the West End's most popular shows when it opened in 2012, also recently celebrated having performed over 1000 concerts.

Tickets for LET IT BE are $49, $39, $29 & $10 Smart Seats, on sale at playhousesquare.org; 216-241-6000; and the Ticket Office. For more about the show, visit www.LetItBeLive.com, or follow on Facebook: Facebook.com/LetItBeNA and Twitter: @LetItBeLiveNA.
