The 2009-10 Mainstage Season of The Cleveland Play House came to a close on May 9, 2010, having sold more single tickets than any season in over 10 years, even with two fewer shows, making it the highest attended Mainstage Season since 1998-99. The final production, Bill W and Dr. Bob, was extended an extra week and became the best-selling season-closing play in over 20 years. Full season subscriptions have grown nearly 50% over the past five seasons.

FusionFest, a multidisciplinary performing arts festival celebrating new works in music, dance and theatre, also concluded its 5th year at The Cleveland Play House with its highest attendance records since its inception in 2006. Close to 15,000 people attended an event at FusionFest 2010, which saw an increase of nearly 50% over last year's attendance. A Soldier's Tale, a collaboration with the Cleveland Orchestra and GroundWorks DanceTheater, sold out all four of its performances.
