Cleveland Play House Presents MY NAME IS ASHER LEV, Closes 4/3

MY NAME IS ASHER LEV, a play by Aaron Posner adapted from the visionary novel by Chaim Potok, marks the Cleveland Play House directorial debut of Associate Artistic Director Laura Kepley, who joined the CPH staff at the start of the 2010-11 season.

In this powerful adaptation, we meet Asher Lev, a young man with extraordinary artistic talent. Born into a Hasidic family in post-World War II Brooklyn, his artistic genius threatens to estrange him from both his parents and his community. With performances already at 88% capacity, Cleveland Play House has announced it is adding an additional week of performances. MY NAME IS ASHER LEV closes at the Baxter Stage at Cleveland Play House on Sunday, April 3, 2011. Tickets for MY NAME IS ASHER LEV range from $46 to $66, with discounts available for groups of ten or more, for senior citizens aged 60 and over, and for military reservists and their families. Tickets are $10 for all students under the age of 25. Based on availability, a limited number of $10 rush tickets go on sale 90 minutes before curtain and remain on sale until 30 minutes before curtain.
