Cleveland Orchestra Announces Conductor Update For July 6 And July 7 Concerts

By: Jul. 03, 2018

Today, The Cleveland Orchestra announced conductor updates to the Friday, July 6 Star-Spangled Spectacular on Mall B in Downtown Cleveland and the Saturday, July 7 Blossom Music Festival concert.

With great regret, Cleveland Orchestra Music Director Franz Welser-Möst must withdraw from his July 6 and 7 concerts with The Cleveland Orchestra as he is suffering from a bacterial infection in his right hand.

Cleveland Orchestra Assistant Conductor Vinay Parameswaran will step in to conduct the July 6, Star-Spangled Spectacular. Former Blossom Music Festival Director Jahja Ling will conduct the July 7, Blossom Music Festival Opening Concert.

The July 6 Star-Spangled Spectacular program remains unchanged. The July 7, Blossom program has been amended. Please see below for the most up-to-date program listings for July 6 and July 7.
