Now in its 39th season, the CAPA Summer Movie Series at the magnificent Ohio Theatre has become one of central Ohio's favorite summertime entertainment traditions. Made possible through the generous support of National City Now a Part of PNC, the 2009 Series features 20 of the world's most treasured films. 2009 highlights include nine series premieres, one silent film, five musicals, two Saturday mornings of cartoons, two "Chick Flick Fridays," two "Late Nite Fridays," and two "dirty" movies.

Show times for most films are Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm and 7:30 pm. There are two 11 pm showings-Slap Shot on Friday, July 24, and Evil Dead II on Friday, August 21. Both films are rated R.

Day-of-show tickets are $4 and go on sale one hour prior to show time at the Ohio Theatre kiosk. Senior citizen tickets are available for $3.50. Now through August 9, strips of 10 tickets are available for $25, a savings of $1.50 per ticket. Strip tickets are good for any film in any combination. All tickets are general admission and seating is on a first come, first served basis.
