About Birdland: We are a live entertainment venue with two stages in New York City, presenting three to four different shows each night. We are looking for a music-loving intern with strong knowledge and understanding of various social media platforms. We are excited to share our knowledge with someone who would like to experience first-hand the exciting world of live entertainment, and would enjoy the marketing of the talented people who create and star in those shows.
Responsibilities Assistance in maintaining, developing and updating: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram & Weekly Newsletter (Loading new content, checking analytics) Big plus: Editing short film clips for above outlets Assist in copywriting show descriptions on an editorial basis
Qualifications: Interest in branding or marketing management career Excellent written communication skills Digital media savvy Love theater, jazz, variety entertainment
Schedule is flexible based on availability
This is an UNPAID internship.
Intern is invited to enjoy any and all shows, which take place several times a night at Birdland, which is in midtown Manhattan. However, your presence is not a necessity…just a perk of the job.
We are open to giving class credit if we are provided with correct documentation.
