Children’s Set Designer/Arts & Crafts Head Teacher



Seeking an imaginative and collaborative individual who is great with children and interested in supervising and teaching art to children ages 3-8. Must be open-minded, self-motivated, organized, and creative. You will be working with other teachers to create set pieces, costume pieces, and crafts with found items and art projects by the children.



Duties include:

Working with other teachers to create an age-appropriate and themed curriculum for children ages 3-8, supervising and teaching art to the children, creating a themed set using construction paper and art projects, supervising children and guiding them in themed activities, creating a safe and fun-filled learning environment, etc.



CenterStage offers performing arts classes for children of all ages in New York City. All classes are taught by distinguished professionals in the music, dance, and acting fields. We offer classes during the Fall/Winter & Winter/Spring that culminate in a themed performance at the end of each semester. Our summer camp runs from June to August and focuses on a different musical each week. Some of our past themes have been Frozen, Singing in the Rain, The Magic Flute, and Hamilton. Our stars have the opportunity to learn about every aspect of theatre through games, arts & crafts, improvisation, outdoor play, and rehearsals that culminate in our end of the week performance. We strive to bring the performing arts into our community by sharing our passion for musical theatre with our shining stars!
