Village Players and Fort Thomas Woman's Club Present CakeTown COMEDY JAM 2, 5/10 & 11
The Village Players and Fort Thomas' Woman's Club will present CakeTown COMEDY JAM 2! on Friday andSaturday, May 10-11, 2013 at 8 PM at the Village Players Theater in Fort Thomas. The two-hour show of light entertainment will feature stand up comedians, short comic plays, musical comedy and storytelling by some of the Tristate's funniest and most accomplished performers, actors, and writers.
The Carol Burnett-type comic variety show is rated PG-13 and features a lineup with local favorites, including Teri Foltz, two-time Funniest Person in Cincinnati Finalist; Thomas Cox, Funniest Person in Northern Kentucky 2009; Michael Rudolph, Funniest Person in Cincinnati Winner; and popular local comics Kim Sherwood and Adam Minnick; award-winning playwrights A. K. Forbes and Phil Paradis; Newport musical humorist Peter Lloyd; and vocalist Libbie Sparks, a senior at Highlands High School.
The fundraiser also features three short comic plays by Fort Thomas playwrights A. K. Forbes and Phil Paradis. Donna Hoffman directs "Flight Path," featuring acting talents of Barbara and Tom Manning, "The Kitty Cat Ultimatum," with Jamie Ball and Cate White, and "The Great Debate," starring Dennis Blom and Clint Bramkamp.
There will be a silent auction with gifts donated by community patrons, including tickets to events and artwork and photographs by local artists.
CakeTown COMEDY JAM2! will be presented on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11, at 8 PM, at the Village Players Theater, 8 North Fort Thomas Avenue, Fort Thomas, KY 41075. Tickets are $15 and may be reserved by calling (859) 781-1110. Tickets also may be purchased at the door beginning at 7 PM before show time. Proceeds will benefit the Village Players and the Fort Thomas Woman's Club. All participants in this event are volunteers.
