The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, 4990 Glenway Avenue, continues to grow as the region's most exciting theatrical venue. The Covedale has been converted from a 1947 movie house to a live theatre, featuring the best in local performers and performances.
The Fantastic Toy Shoppe - Sat., December 19, 2009 @ 11:00 amExperience the hustle and bustle of the holiday season as the owners of a small toy shop struggle to make ends meet and pay their rent. When a mysterious but poor gentleman arrives in search of a special toy the kindness of the toymaker sparks a series of magical events. Songs and fantasy celebrate the holiday spirit and the joy of giving. Thematic Connections: Literary Classic, Friendship, Mythology, Music, Reading, Strength of Character. Grades K-8Tickets are: $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Children.And don't forget....In the New Year, the Covedale will feature The Doktor Kaboom Show on Saturday, February 27, 2010 - An uproariously funny, over-the-top scientist with a driving passion to share his outrageous theories with you. (Imagine Mister Wizard and the Nutty Professor had a rock and roll German love child, and you'll begin to get the idea). Doktor Kaboom keeps his audiences riveted with interest and rolling with laughter.
