Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati Presents ETC Summer Stock 2019

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati (ETC) announces its second year of ETC Summer Stock, an exciting summer program that offers three weeks of theatre camp for youth, now including a High School Technical Theatre Intensive. Featuring workshops taught by the same incredible talent that grace the ETC stage each season, participants will learn from the very best in Cincinnati. ETC offers Jr. Summer Stock for youth ages 7-15 years old from July 8-20. High School Summer Stock for youth ages 13-18 years old will be heldJuly 22-26. No audition necessary, space is limited. And new this year, High School Technical Theatre Intensive for youth ages 13-18 old will be held July 15-20.

Jr. Summer Stock (ages 7-15) is atwo-week performance camp will explore acting techniques including Improv, Acting for the Camera, Auditioning, Script break-down, Technical Theatre, and Design. Participants will rehearse and produce a full production of the play Boat byLindsey Price, to be presented for friends and family in the Charles and Lucille Carothers Theatre. The camp runs fromJuly 8-20, 2019, from 9am-5pm with performances on July 19 at 7pm and July 20 at 5pm. Tuition is $625.

Sometimes it's easy to see the world as your own personal sinking ship, to get stuck looking into your own whirlpool instead of looking out to see what's going on with others. In one-act vignette play Boat by Lindsey Price, characters come face-to-face with the other people in their boat-people who might be very different, but who might learn to paddle together.

High School Summer Stock (ages 13-18) is a one-week training camp for serious actors with the intent to continue in the craft of acting. With classes and workshops focusing on Improv, Script Analysis, Acting for the Camera, Auditioning for Musical Theatre, Film and Acting, Movement, and more, this acting intensive camp will instill the best acting habits and will culminate with a showcase of scenes and monologues to be presented for friends and family in the Charles and Lucille Carothers Theatre. The camp runs July 22-26, 2019, from 9am-5pm, with a showcase on July 26 at 5:30pm. Tuition is $275.

High School Technical Theatre Intensive (ages 13-18) is a one-week training camp for those who prefer to shine behind the scenes. This technical theatre intensive offers hands-on instruction. Participants will gain practical experience and explore the technical areas of our theatre and craft by working on a full production. Those involved will attend a variety of classes covering subjects such as stage management, costumes, and wardrobe, lighting, sound design, scenic artistry, and carpentry. The camp runs July 15-22, 2019, from 9am-5pm, with their work showcased on July 19 at 7pm and July 20 at 2pm. Tuition is $275.
